A Prayer to Become a House of Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with humble hearts, seeking not only Your hand but Your face. Just as You declared in Your Word, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7, Mark 11:17), we now ask that You would shape us—Your people, Your Church—into that house of prayer.
Lord, teach us to pray.
Teach us to pray with faith, believing that You hear us.
Teach us to pray with humility, laying down pride and self-will.
Teach us to pray with consistency, making prayer a rhythm of our daily lives.
Teach us to pray with boldness, trusting in Your power to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or imagine.
God, let every heart become an altar.
Let every home become a sanctuary.
Let our church become a sacred meeting place for an encounter with Your power.
Let our voices rise not in empty routine, but in authentic relationship and holy communion with You.
Forgive us, Lord, for the times we’ve made prayer a last resort instead of our first response.
Forgive us for busy schedules that leave no room for sacred stillness.
Turn us again to You. Create in us a hunger for Your presence and a yearning to dwell in Your courts.
May our prayers be filled with repentance, intercession, thanksgiving, and praise.
May they stretch beyond our own needs and reach the broken, the lost, the hurting, and the world.
Make us a house of prayer—where burdens are lifted, chains are broken, lives are restored, and Your glory dwells.
We declare that we are Your people, called by Your name.
We humble ourselves, we pray, we seek Your face, and we turn from our ways.
Heal us. Heal our land.
And make us—individually and collectively—a house of prayer for Your glory.
